OK, I hope I can remember everything.

Brekkie
Like, 3.5 sloppy Joe burgers. LOL I've been told off (with good intention, I presume) that the only thing I can cook is a mashed up mess.

Lunch
Tricky, because I had brekkie at 1pm, and I went out so lunch was sort of skipped, but I did have:
2 cups of freshly squeezed orange juice before I left.

Dinner
I made myself a pizza. *blush* I took half and was like, 'whoever wants pizza, there's some in the kitchen!' but then I went back and it was still there so I ate the second half too. Hee.

Stomach: Bulge-a-rama
Kilojoules: Probably about 7000, like yesterday.
Exercise: Walked 1 - 1.5 hours.

Yesterday I ran longer than the day before. I kept up a good pace and I'd say I was out for 25, maybe 30 minutes. I don't have my watch with me or this would be more precise. Anyway, I even remembered to ice my bum knee and burgeoning shin splint later, which I am no doubt grateful for now.

Today I decided to change my Myspace info from "Some Extra Baggage" to "Average."  I still contend that I do indeed have extra baggage, but I decided that my recent size 10 purchase warrants the change.  Silly as it sounds, this was kind of a pivotal moment for me.  I am finally starting to see my body as okay and even beautiful after years of feeling fat and ashamed.

Remember back in high school, those girls who would come back to school after a summer away and just look totally fucking hot all of a sudden?  Like they just blossomed over those three months?  I feel like I might be doing that, albeit much, much more gradually and with the help of regular exercise.

This isn't necessarily related to this community, but I feel bad that I haven't posted in like, forever.  I will try to be better.  :(

I have to wake up at like 4:15 in the morning tomorrow, so fuck knows why I am posting here instead of, er, sleeping, but whatever.  This is a very important announcement for me so I will have to survive the sleep deprivation!

I went to Gap today, looking for some trousers because I guess I've reached the stage in my life in which "pants" no longer fit the bill.  I couldn't find a 12 in their ankle length, so I asked the clerk to go check the back of the store for some.  She came back with a 10, to which I immediately replied, "Yeah, I'm not going to fit in those."  She took a quick glance at my waistline and told me she could already tell just by looking at me that they would be a perfect fit.  I grumbled some, but she eventually convinced me to try them on.  And, by golly, those things slid on like butta!  Size 10s!!!  I've cried in dressing rooms many times in my life, but never because something actually fit!  After I tried them on, I came out and declared my success to all the Gap employees, with no shame about my tears of joy.

Even though I've seen no recent progress in terms of weight loss, this purchase is proof that my body is still shrinking somehow.  It's very exciting because I've probably not worn a 10 since I was 10. If I just drop one more size, I'll be a single digit.  Ahhhh, the joy.

I'm posting this both to this community and my personal journal because I'm proud of myself and whatnot!

I finally got to the gym last night after a dry spell of over two weeks.  I did one hour of kickboxing and one hour of yoga.  It was surprising how winded I got because I wouldn't typically guess that a few weeks of semi-sedentary living would set me back so much.  But I feel really good now, and I am glad to (hopefully) be back on my workout schedule.

I am going to try to do yoga at least once a week, if nothing else.  Even if I can't find the time or the energy to do any cardio, I must force myself to do that one hour of yoga every week.  I need that time.  Yoga makes me realize how much time I spend thinking about useless things.  For a few minutes in last night's class, I kept losing focus by thinking about how I needed to buy razors because my legs were hairy.  How ridiculous is that?  My thoughts are always racing, and I want to learn how to maybe slow 'em down a bit.  My mental health is perhaps more important than my physical health, and I think that yoga works on both really well.

On the diet front, I have been buying a lot of pre-sliced fruits and pre-made salads.  They are more expensive, yes, but I find that I am much more likely to eat them if I don't have to prepare them myself.  It is very unlikely that I would buy a cantaloupe or watermelon, for instance, because they are heavy and I'd have to carry them home, but I can buy as many tubs of pre-sliced ones as I want.  Mmm, cantaloupe.
